Hold out for Monday's go

October 16, 2026

Friday's forecast brings 16 mph wind out of the NE and swell near 2.2 ft, choppy enough to keep today in the maybe column. The weekend stays mixed too, with swell building toward 3.2 ft. Monday settles down to 9 mph wind, and that is the first clean go day this stretch.

At the Point Loma buoy this morning, wind sits at 12 mph with a 2.6 ft SW swell, still workable if you are set on fishing today.

Yellowfin tuna are rising fast at 4.4 per angler, dorado are climbing too. Save the long run for Monday morning and load up on both.
