Fish City roundup
Saturday's a go for tuna
October 24, 2026
Wind stays light and the swell holds steady, so Saturday is a GO. At the Point Loma buoy wind sits at 9 mph with a 2.0 ft swell on a long 16.7 second period, a clean combo for working the grounds without getting bounced around.
Yellowfin tuna lead the bite and it keeps climbing, with boats averaging 4.9 fish per angler. Bullet tuna are rising fast too, so bring iron and bait for both.
Leave early to fish the morning solunar window before the forecast wind builds later in the day.
