Weekend roundup: salmon, bonito, bass and yellowtail across…
Fish City roundup
San Diego · October 27, 2026
Wind stays light and swell holds near 2 to 3 feet through Wednesday and Thursday, so both days earn a GO call. The Point Loma buoy shows 2 mph wind and a 2 ft swell at 14 seconds this evening, a calm base to build from.
Yellowfin tuna lead the bite at 5.8 fish per angler and climbing fast, with skipjack right behind at 3.1 and also rising. The Dolphin topped the fleet at 7.5 fish per angler, proof the bite is strong close to home too.
Fish the tuna grounds Wednesday or Thursday morning and get out early for the best shot.
