Monday's window looks best

San Diego · November 1, 2026

New Lo-An

Monday brings lighter wind at 8 mph and a 4.0 ft swell, enough to call it a GO while the rest of the week sits in MAYBE territory with wind climbing past 12 mph on Tuesday. At the Point Loma buoy this evening, wind is calm at 2 mph but swell runs 3.3 ft on a long 15.4 second period, a sign of what is rolling in.

Yellowfin tuna lead the bite at 3.2 fish per angler and rising, with skipjack close behind at 3.3 and also climbing. Yellowtail are up too at 1.3 per angler.

Plan around Monday's calmer wind window and get gear in early for yellowfin and skipjack while the bite keeps building.
