Friday's a solid GO

San Diego · October 8, 2026

Producer

Wind stays light at 10 mph and swell holds near 3.1 ft out of the northwest, easy conditions for a morning run out of Point Loma. That setup plus a good solunar window makes Friday the pick over the stretch of rough air coming this weekend.

Yellowtail are rising fast across the fleet, and bluefin are climbing too, so load up on iron or bait for both. Skipjack are also snapping for anyone grinding on the troll.

Get lines in near the morning high around 9 am before the wind builds into the afternoon.
