Fish City roundup
San Diego · October 23, 2026
Light wind and a clean 2.6 ft swell at the Point Loma buoy keep the ocean calm, and Saturday's wind stays near 8 mph with swell under 4 ft, enough for a GO call. The Grande backs that up, landing 11.4 fish per angler on its overnight trip, best in the fleet.
Yellowfin tuna keep climbing, with boats averaging 4.9 per angler and the trend still rising. Skipjack are moving too, up fast though smaller in number.
Load up on yellowfin tuna gear and get out early. Saturday's conditions favor a full day on the water.
