Stardust ran a half day out of Santa Barbara on Tuesday morning and the bass bite never slowed down. 34 anglers put 231 calico bass on the boat, kept 101 and let 130 go. Six bonito hit the fish box too.

The one to watch: six white seabass hooked and released on a half day trip. There are some around the kelp right now.

If you want a shot at the calicos before the fall pattern sets in, the morning half day is the ticket. Stardust Sportfishing sails from Santa Barbara Harbor.
