LB Fishing Supplies is also branded "Jimmy Caivo Tackle" — and that's the actual story: owner Jimmy Vo (legal name Vo Nhan T per USPTO records) runs the Long Beach Boulevard storefront and also designs and manufactures the in-house Caivo line of surface irons and jigs, sold through his shop and resold at others (Bob Sands in the Valley, the Goldenwest Swap Meet) and online.

The flagship Caivo OG iron — 6.25 inches, 3.2 ounces — has been written up on BD Outdoors for an erratic swimming action that fishes well on slow retrieves; jigs come in nine SoCal-specific colors with names like Wounded Soldier, Scrambled Egg, and Marble Bird Poop. Counter retail also covers the standard reel and rod brands, but the lures are the reason.
