Newport Marina Store & Charters

Newport Marina Store & Charters operates out of South Beach Marina at 2128 SE Marine Science Drive, across Yaquina Bay from downtown Newport. The store changed hands under new ownership as of a January 1 handover announced on its own site.

Four boats run from the dock — Crackerjack, Gracie K, Miss Raven, and Spindrift — capped at 14–16 anglers for rockfish trips and 10–12 for halibut, salmon, and tuna. Bottom and rockfish trips run year-round; halibut and albacore tuna are May-through-September seasons, with salmon when it's open. A crabbing add-on runs $25 per person.

The standout retail product is self-guided 14-to-15-foot aluminum boat rentals starting at $110 — three crab rings, a measurer, bucket, fuel, and life jackets included, for up to four people on 3-to-8-hour runs (driver 18+, no boater's license required).
