Oceanside Sea Center Tackle

Oceanside Sea Center took over 315 Harbor Drive in Oceanside Harbor in 2018, when Captain Joe Cacciola (Sea Star Sportfishing) and Captain Ernie Prieto (Chubasco Sportfishing) won the city's RFP for the building Helgren's had occupied for forty years. The result is a working-captains' shop: the brand mix on the wall is what their crews and customers actually fish.

Inventory leans on the SoCal-specific signature lines — Hookup Baits, Candy Bar Lures, AA Plastics, and Mega Baits — alongside Mustad, Owner, and Gamakatsu hooks and Izorline mono and fluorocarbon. Live and frozen bait sold at the counter; rod rentals, fishing licenses, and Sea Center apparel round out the wall.

The PIER aquarium upstairs is part of the same SEA — Sportfishing, Education, Adventure — partnership the building was rebuilt for.
