Umpqua Bait

Umpqua Bait sits at 499 Ork Rock Road, steps from the Salmon Harbor marina in Reedsport, working the boat-launch crowd that fishes the Umpqua estuary, the bay, and the bar for salmon, sturgeon, and Dungeness. Bob Wilkes runs the shop.

The signature offering is live bait — including live crab from the shop's own holding tank, which is a real differentiator on a coast where most counters sell only frozen. Inventory also covers IQF anchovy, "quality tuna," crab ring rentals, salmon eggs, and branded apparel; bagged ice runs $2.50.
