Gail Force started out as a crew boat for the THUMS Oil Islands in Long Beach Harbor, then ran as an excursion boat out of 22nd Street Landing before becoming a sportfishing charter boat in 1995. She is 55 feet long and 18 feet wide, is Coast Guard certified for up to 45 passengers, and carries a published max load of 40 anglers on local and Catalina Island trips for calico bass, sand bass, barracuda, yellowtail, white seabass, spiny lobster, rockfish, whitefish, and lingcod.
