Pacific Outfitters
About Pacific Outfitters
Pacific Outfitters started life as Pacific Marine Engineering, a 1968 commercial diving operation, and grew into a brick-and-mortar Eureka outdoor store in 1973 (originally Pro Sport Center, rebranded Pacific Outfitters in 2010). Owner Aaron Ostrom now runs two locations: the 1600 5th Street flagship in Eureka and a 2009 Ukiah expansion (the Arcata location closed).
The store is a multi-category outfitter — fishing shares the floor with hunting, camping, dive (the original DNA), snow, and firearms — so it's the right stop when you need a license, a rod, and a tent on the same trip. Brands run Penn, Shimano, Pflueger, Ugly Stik, Lews, and Abu Garcia, with Big Hammer swimbaits and B2Squid for bottom fish.
