4 shops — hours, live bait, and directions.

Washington's outer coast — Grays Harbor and Pacific County — is the state's heavy sportfishing country. Westport, on the south jaw of Grays Harbor, is the biggest charter port in Washington: bottomfish and lingcod over the reefs, ocean salmon when the season is open, and an August albacore tuna run that pulls the fleet well offshore. To the south, Ilwaco sits right at the mouth of the Columbia, the launch point for the Buoy 10 salmon fishery and the albacore boats, with white sturgeon on the lower river. Willapa Bay, in between, is a crab, clam, and salmon estuary.
The shops here are dock-side and marine-supply. Englund Marine — a regional marine-supply house operating since 1944 — runs stores on both the Westport and Ilwaco charter docks with full sport-fishing tackle departments. Columbia River Bait works the Ilwaco charter row supplying the Buoy 10 and albacore fleet, and Willapa Marine & Outdoor in Raymond covers terminal tackle, lures, and the crab-and-shrimp-pot gear the bay runs on. Confirm live-bait availability by phone — this coast trades mostly in frozen and cured bait.
