The LongFin

The LongFin outfitted its first angler on January 27, 1986, and has occupied the same Chapman Avenue address in Orange ever since — a two-story shop fifteen miles inland from Newport Harbor that stocks freshwater stream gear and 18-day long-range offshore rigs under the same roof.

The reel cases run Shimano, Penn, Daiwa, Accurate, and Avet; the rod wall covers Calstar, Seeker, Graftech, Phenix, United Composite, Daiwa, Shimano, and G. Loomis. Shimano gets a dedicated showcase inside the store. The custom-rigging desk pre-rigs Colt Snipers with upgraded trebles and heavier fluoro leaders, sold ready to throw.

The LongFin is also the exclusive U.S. booking agent for Tony Reyes Fishing Tours — the six-day Sea of Cortez panga trips out of San Felipe on the 107-foot mothership. Hours: Mon-Sat 10-7, Sun 10-6.
