Rating
4.4★ (8 TripAdvisor)

Fish Emeryville operates out of 3310 Powell Street, at the end of the Emeryville Marina peninsula, and is the Bay's largest multi-boat sportfishing landing. Owner Craig Stone — identified as the owner of Emeryville Sportfishing Center in coverage of the 2010 salmon closure — ran the operation under its earlier "Emeryville Sportfishing" name before the rebrand to Fish Emeryville. Target species across the fleet, in the landing's own words: "King Salmon, California Halibut, Striped Bass, Rockfish, Lingcod, and Dungeness Crab."

Fleet

The fleet runs fourteen boats, each independently captained and owner-operated, booked through the central landing. Active vessels include:

  • New Huck Finn — 22-angler live-bait boat for stripers, halibut, rockfish, and lingcod (Capt. Jay Yokomizo)
  • Sea Wolf — 20-angler rockfish and lingcod specialist (Capt. Jon Yokomizo)
  • Scallywag (Capt. Charlie Barberini)
  • Pacific Pearl (Capts. Jim Holloway and Alex Laidley)
  • C-Gull II (Capt. Don Wong)
  • Oakland Anglers II — the only boat with an on-board cook (Capt. Brandon Suguitan)
  • TigerFish and KingFish (Capt. Allen Chin)
  • Lady K (Capt. Kyle Dryer)
  • Here We Go (Capt. Matt Archer)
  • Play'N Hooky (Capt. Andy Guiliano)
  • Salty Lady (Capt. Jared Davis)
  • Wet Spot (Capt. Steve Francisco)
Trip types

Trip types follow the Bay's calendar. AM Halibut and Striped Bass trips run 6–7 hours at $155–$215, full-day Halibut and Striped Bass trips run 8.5–10.5 hours at $200–$275, and Rockfish/Lingcod full-days are $200–$225. Salmon trolling, when the season is open, runs $275–$333 depending on boat. Private charters book at $2,800 for a half-day up to $4,400 for a full-day Dungeness and Rockfish combo, 18 anglers max. Add-ons: 2026 one-day California license $21.09, rod rentals $10, tackle kits $12–22, fish cleaning and vacuum packing $20.

Recent reports

December crab-and-rockfish combos are the landing's signature winter trip. A December 2024 angler logged ten Dungeness crab and ten rockfish on a single combo day. The Pacific Pearl, in a recent guest's account, ran summer halibut/striper trips and the December rock cod / crab combo through the same calendar.

Reviews

TripAdvisor rates Fish Emeryville 4.4 out of 5 across 8 reviews. Recent notes include WildParrott (December 2024): "I came home with 10 crab and 10 rockfish. It was a fun but very long day." Thomas F (May 2025) on the Pacific Pearl: "Looking forward to another summer trip then the most enjoyable Dec Rock Cod Crab trip!"
