Fisherman's Landing Tackle

Fisherman's Landing has anchored the Point Loma harbor basin at 2838 Garrison St for decades — the landing's own site counts more than 55 years of running trips — and bills its tackle shop as "the leader" for more than 30 of them. Doug Kern runs the counter and is a fixture on San Diego's Let's Talk Hookup radio show.

The bench leans hard offshore, stocked for the long-range fleet that homeports here — Royal Polaris, Excel, Royal Star, Searcher, Shogun. Assistant manager Rick "Rock Cod Rick" Maxa runs the shop's Tackle Tips YouTube series and is a regular guest on Let's Talk Hookup.
