Channel Islands Sportfishing — known locally as Cisco's — operates a private landing at 4151 South Victoria Avenue inside Channel Islands Harbor. The business is family-owned, dating to 1965 per Islapedia, and bills itself as the largest sportfishing fleet north of San Diego. The landing functions as a booking agent — "all boats are independently owned and operated" — and holds status as an official IGFA Weigh Station.

Fleet

Eleven charter boats operate out of the landing:

  • Aloha Spirit (Capt. Shawn Steward)
  • Cobra (Capt. Chris Hanson)
  • Gentleman (Capt. Don Rowell)
  • Graylight — 6-pack (Capt. Shawn Steward)
  • Indicator
  • Island Fox (Capt. Adam Rowell)
  • Island Tak
  • Mirage (Capts. Chase Holt and Steve Chesley)
  • Orion
  • Ranger 85 (Capt. Jacob Hensley)
  • Speed Twin (Capt. Jesse Martinez)

The Mirage produced an IGFA world record 67.5-pound halibut landed by Francisco Rivera on July 1, 2011.

Trip types

The trip menu covers 1/2 day, 3/4 day, full day, twilight, overnight, 1.5-day, 2-day, and 3-day runs, plus seasonal whale watching January through April. Destinations include Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, San Miguel, and San Nicolas Islands. Target species include halibut, white seabass, sheephead, barracuda, yellowtail, rockfish, lingcod, calico bass, and sand bass; warm-water years bring yellowfin tuna, wahoo, and marlin.

2026 open-party rates from the landing's pricing page: 1/2 day on the Speed Twin runs $115; 3/4 day runs $130 on the Gentleman and $145 on the Island Fox; full day runs $210 on the Cobra and Aloha Spirit or $615 on the 6-pack Graylight; overnights run $280 on the Indicator and Mirage or $325 on the Ranger 85.
